QHSE Advisor

An established and growing offshore drilling and engineering services organisation is seeking a QHSE Advisor on an 8-month contract basis to support platform drilling operations. The position is onshore, based in Kingswells, Aberdeen and has arisen due to a recent contract win for an additional rig. This role would suit an experienced QHSE professional with a background in drilling operations, looking to contribute to a fast-paced and safety-critical operation.
The Role:
Reporting into the QHSE Leadership Team, you will play a key role in supporting operational management and ensuring the effective delivery of quality, health, safety and environmental standards across drilling activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and advising operational teams on all QHSE matters
- Maintaining and improving QHSE processes, procedures, and systems
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements
- Leading and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Conducting risk assessments, gap analysis, and hazard identification
- Supporting incident investigations, audits, and reporting
- Acting as a point of contact for QHSE with internal teams and clients
- Delivering QHSE training and promoting a strong safety culture
- Assisting with tender processes and supporting offshore operations as required
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Degree qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline
- NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma (or equivalent)
- Demonstrable experience in QHSE within offshore drilling, marine, or similar high-risk operational environments (essential)
- Strong understanding of QHSE regulations, standards, and risk management processes
- Experience supporting fixed installations and operational teams
- Proficiency in QHSE systems, reporting tools, and IT platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience within a similar drilling contractor/wells services company is required.

- Fixed-term contract or PAYE contract (approx. 8 months) with immediate impact on a new contract scope
- 36-hour working week:
- Monday to Thursday: 8 hours
- Friday: 4 hours
- Flexible start and finish times
- Hybrid working (3 days office/2 days home)
