HGV Technician – Night Shift (Liverpool)
Pay: £25.21 per hour + Technician Grade Bonus
Hours: Tuesday – Friday, 20:30 – 07:00 (not 4 on 4 off)
Contract: Permanent
Earning Potential (OTE)
- Hourly Rate: £25.21 per hour
- Basic Salary: £58,946 per year (based on 45-hour week, 52 weeks per year)
- OTE: £64,635+ per year (including Technician Grade Bonus)
- Annual Leave: 240 hours including bank holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake maintenance and repair activities on commercial vehicles and trailers of all types
- Diagnose faults, carry out tests on vehicles, and effect permanent and complete repairs
- Complete paperwork and procedures relating to warranty, contract, and retail work
- Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise unnecessary customer costs
- Any other duties reasonably within your capabilities as instructed by your manager
What You'll Need (either option)
- Option 1: Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds) – IRTEC not required
- Option 2: Level 2 qualification with current IRTEC accreditation
- Experience in diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial vehicles
- Full UK driving licence
