We are looking for an experienced, professional and hardworking Bar Manager to join our bar in Camden.
This is a hands on management role, suitable for someone with strong bar experience, excellent leadership skills and the ability to run daily operations to a high standard. The successful candidate must be confident managing a team of 6-10, organising rotas, controlling stock, maintaining service standards and working under pressure.
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Bar Manager or similar management role.
Main responsibilities include:
Managing daily bar operations
Leading, training and motivating the bar team
Creating staff rotas and managing shift cover
Managing stock, ordering and stock control
Maintaining high standards of customer service
Making and serving cocktails and drinks confidently
Helping with cocktail menus, seasonal drinks and beer selection
Supporting events, weekend DJs and private parties
Ensuring the bar is clean, organised and well presented at all times
Handling busy service professionally and calmly
Solving problems quickly and using initiative
Ensuring customers have a positive and memorable experience
Maintaining health, safety and compliance standards
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Bar Manager
Strong bartending and cocktail making experience
Good knowledge of stock control, ordering and bar operations
Personal Licence is a strong advantage, but not essential
Must be able to work weekends
Must be hardworking, reliable and punctual
Confident leading a team and working under pressure
Strong communication and organisational skills
Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
Able to work independently and take responsibility
