Teaching Assistants – Basildon & Surrounding Areas
We’re looking for caring, proactive Teaching Assistants to support our brilliant primary schools across the Orsett and surrounding area. It’s a great chance to help pupils thrive while building hands‑on experience in education and SEND support.
We have day to day, part-time and full-time roles available.
What You’ll Do
- Support teachers with adapted lessons and classroom activities.
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEND, including autism.
- Use positive strategies to help pupils with behavioural needs.
- Keep resources organised and lessons running smoothly.
- Create a safe, inclusive, encouraging environment.
- Share observations on pupil progress with staff.
- Support pupils during breaks, lunch, and activities.
What You’ll Need
- Experience with children or SEND is highly desirable.
- Understanding of autism or complex needs is a bonus.
- Strong communication and a calm, compassionate approach.
- Relevant training is helpful but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Job Type: Temp to perm
Pay: £90.00-£95.00 per day
