Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dairy Chilled Buyer to join our purchasing team. This role is vital in sourcing and purchasing high-quality Dairy and chilled dairy products that meet our standards of excellence and support our commitment to customer satisfaction.
Hours
Monday - Friday, starting at 6am and until finish (3pm)
Principle responsibilities
- Purchasing, placing orders with suppliers
- imputing stock on sage
- Checking and recording of Goods into the warehouse
- Daily stock takes on dairy
- Quality control checking on all products
- Date checking on all products
- Stock rotation and storage of new stock from pallets
- Source and negotiate the purchase of chilled dairy products to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage supplier relationships to secure favourable terms and reliable delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to select products aligned with market trends and customer preferences.
- Review data and trends to inform purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Identify improvements and anticipate issues in advance
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office/ excel spreadsheets
- Attention to detail with the natural ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
- A systematic and disciplined way of working
- Proven experience in procurement or buying within the foodservice or retail industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms.
- Excellent understanding of supply chain logistics and inventory management.
Pay: £33,000.00-£35,500.00 per year
