A welcoming and supportive primary school in Watford is looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic practitioner to support teaching and learning across the primary phase.
The Role
- Delivering lessons and providing whole-class cover in the absence of the class teacher
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Leading targeted intervention groups to boost pupil progress
- Working closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning activities
- Supporting pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEND
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a safe, inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a recognised HLTA qualification or has relevant equivalent experience
- Experience working within a UK primary school setting
- Confident delivering lessons and managing whole-class learning
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Flexible, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
