Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Treatment Room Nurse to join our GP Surgery team . This is a long-term temporary role, initially working full days Mondays and Fridays, with the opportunity for the position to develop into a permanent role with increased hours for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will play an important part in delivering high quality nursing care within a busy primary care setting, supporting patients across a range of treatment room services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver treatment room services including phlebotomy, BPs, wound care, dressings, ECGs, injections, anti-coagulation monitoring, childhood immunisations and vaccinations
- Carry out routine nursing procedures and health checks
- Perform cervical screening (if qualified)
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with practice policies and professional standards
- Work collaboratively with GPs, nursing team and the wider multidisciplinary team
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
- Competent in treatment room procedures and clinical assessment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to the team
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience working within General Practice / Primary Care or a treatment room setting
- Immunisation and vaccination training
- Cervical cytology qualification
- Knowledge of GP clinical systems
