Business Developer
AI Recruitment SaaS, IT Consulting and AI Solutions

Do you already have a network in recruitment, HR, SaaS, business technology or professional services?
Petatec has been helping organisations across the UK, Switzerland and Germany optimise IT, reduce costs and deliver technology projects since 2002. We are now expanding our commercial activities and looking for a Business Developer who can open doors, build relationships and convert opportunities into long-term business.
This is not a traditional sales role with a large fixed salary and inbound leads. It is an opportunity for someone who believes in their ability to generate business, build trust and create recurring revenue.
What You'll Be Selling
Mona AI Recruitment Platform (Primary Focus)
Mona is our AI-powered recruitment platform designed to help employers and recruitment agencies improve candidate engagement, automate pre-screening and streamline hiring processes.
This is our primary growth focus and the product you will spend most of your time selling.
IT Cost Optimisation and Consulting
Many businesses spend significantly more than necessary on software licensing, cloud services, infrastructure and support contracts.
We help organisations identify inefficiencies, reduce costs and implement practical improvements. These engagements often create opportunities for wider consulting projects and long-term client relationships.
AI and Automation Solutions
Practical AI applications that solve real business problems, including workflow automation, document processing, reporting automation, AI strategy and system integrations.
Infrastructure, Cloud and Cybersecurity
Managed IT services, Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, networking, cybersecurity, compliance and infrastructure projects. These services provide opportunities for long-term recurring revenue and strategic client partnerships.
Medical AI Solutions
Through Amit-AI, we are developing AI-supported healthcare solutions, including medical pre-diagnostic and assessment platforms. While not the primary focus of this role, this area represents a significant long-term growth opportunity.
What You'll Do
- Generate and develop your own opportunities
- Build and execute lead generation activities across multiple channels
- Leverage and expand your professional network
- Identify and engage prospective clients through networking, referrals, LinkedIn outreach, marketing initiatives and direct business development
- Introduce clients to Mona and our wider portfolio of services
- Build relationships with decision-makers and business leaders
- Manage the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed agreement
- Identify new markets, partnerships and revenue opportunities
- Represent Petatec professionally at client meetings, networking events and business discussions
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven B2B sales or business development experience
- A network you can actively leverage from day one
- Strong track record of winning new business
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own pipeline
- Commercial mindset with a focus on results
- Fluent English
- Ability to confidently discuss technology, AI and business solutions with business leaders and decision-makers
Highly Valued
- Recruitment industry experience
- HR Tech or SaaS sales experience
- Experience selling IT consulting, managed services, cloud, cybersecurity or technology solutions
- LinkedIn outreach, social selling and lead generation skills
- Experience creating and executing business development campaigns
- Understanding of digital marketing, content marketing and demand generation
- Experience attending networking events and developing referral partnerships
- Additional language skills beyond English
Compensation
We offer two commercial models depending on your preference and experience:
- A model combining a fixed income with recurring performance-based earnings
or
- A fully performance-driven model with a significantly higher commission structure
The details will be discussed during the interview process.
Our compensation model rewards long-term client relationships, ongoing account development and continued business contribution. Successful business developers have the opportunity to build a substantial recurring income stream over time.

Location and Working Style
This role is intended for candidates based in the United Kingdom.
Applicants must be permanently based in the United Kingdom and have the right to work in the UK. Applications from candidates based outside the UK will not be considered.
You will be expected to manage your own activities independently, build relationships within your region and meet clients face-to-face where appropriate. Regular office attendance is not required, although occasional in-person meetings and planning sessions will take place.
