Salary: Grade 11 Pay Point 27-30 (£39,939 - £42,699 per annum)
Approximate starting annual salary £38,551.36 per annum
Hours: 37 Hours per week; 44 Weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 16:00pm; Friday 08:00am to 15:30pm. These hours can be flexible.
About the Role:
At Ash Field Academy we are currently seeking to appoint a School Business Manager to be a fundamental part of our wider operations, assisting with key financial operations within a welcoming and supportive environment to the benefit of staff and students.
Job overview
You’ll contribute to key strategic development of the school, taking a lead role in finances, premise management and administration as well as human resource areas, working directly with the Principal to manage budgets and procurement strategies as well as overseeing the day-to-day running of the school’s business functions.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain effective communication with staff, parents, local authority services, academy trust colleagues, contractors and users of school facilities.

Liaise with local authority admissions and SEN services regarding pupil placements.

Maintain and update school information systems including upgrades and year-end processes.

Work with Central Services to implement best practice financial procedures.

Ensure HR processes as delegated by the HR manager or Principal comply with Trust HR policies and statutory requirements.

Ensure health and safety compliance, record keeping and risk assessment review.

Attend management meetings, as required.
