Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fryer to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items using deep-frying techniques, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the fryer station in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with meal preparation, including portioning ingredients and assembling dishes as required.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and equipment operation.
- Monitor oil temperature and replenish supplies as needed to ensure optimal cooking conditions.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Adhere to recipe specifications and presentation standards set by the establishment.
- Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, including fryers, utensils, and work surfaces at the end of each shift.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards is essential.
- Experience with meal preparation and working with kitchen equipment will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with serving in a fast-paced environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
