Head Coach & Community Development Coach – Kixx York

As our York operation continues to grow, we are looking to appoint an outstanding Head Coach & Community Development Coach to play a key role in the next stage of our journey.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious coach who is passionate about children's development and wants to make a genuine impact within their local community.
About The Role
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines coaching delivery, people development and community engagement.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality coaching sessions across our York academies whilst also supporting the growth of our work within schools and nursery settings.
Working closely with the leadership team, you will help ensure every child, parent and partner receives the exceptional experience that Kixx is known for.

Key Responsibilities Academy Delivery
- Lead and deliver outstanding football coaching sessions for children aged 2-10 years
- Create a fun, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Support children to develop both on and off the pitch
- Deliver sessions in line with the Kixx coaching methodology
- Build positive relationships with children and parents
Schools & Nursery Delivery
- Deliver high-quality coaching sessions within primary schools and nursery settings
- Represent Kixx professionally within educational environments
- Build strong relationships with teachers, nursery practitioners and school leaders
- Support the continued growth of our community programmes
Leadership & Quality Assurance
- Lead by example and uphold the high standards expected across Kixx
- Support and mentor assistant coaches where appropriate
- Maintain exceptional session quality and customer experience
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are always followed
What We're Looking For
We are seeking an individual who genuinely enjoys working with children and understands the positive influence great coaching can have.
Essential
- Passion for working with children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Availability to work across the week
- Ability to travel across York and surrounding areas
Desirable
- Football coaching qualifications
- Experience delivering coaching within schools or nurseries
- Experience leading groups of children
- Teaching, sports coaching or childcare background
- First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications

Pay: £22,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
