Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly , experienced and professional Server to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food, prepare and serve beverages
(cockatiel and wine) , maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred, along with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve and prepare food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of tables before and after service.
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change.
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as required, adhering to food safety standards.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to answer guest questions confidently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Uphold health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
- Good communication skills with an emphasis on guest services.
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing purposes.
- Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales.
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- A friendly demeanour with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
