Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation and ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Help with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use.
Experience
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
