Springvale Leisure Limited, a leading manufacturer supplying the caravan and leisure industry, is looking for an organised and proactive HR Officer to support the day-to-day delivery of a professional, compliant and people focused HR service.
Summary
The HR Officer will provide practical HR support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, absence management, HR administration, payroll support and policy compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with managers and employees to help maintain a positive, fair and legally compliant working environment.
Responsibilities
Support the full recruitment process, including drafting job adverts, arranging interviews, communicating with candidates and completing pre-employment checks.
Coordinate onboarding and induction process to ensure new starters receive the information, documentation and support they need.
Act as a first point of contact for routine HR queries from employees and managers, providing clear and confidential guidance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
Support the absence management process, including monitoring, attendance, recording sickness absence and assisting with return to work arrangements.
Assist with employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance and performance processes.
Administer appraisal and performance review processes, supporting managers with documentation and follow -up actions.
Support payroll administration by ensuring the relevant HR data is recorded accurately and submitted on time.
Help develop, update and implement HR policies and procedures in line with current UK employment legislation and best practice.
Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, health, safety and wellbeing across the workplace.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in an HR role, ideally within manufacturing, operational or fast paced business environment.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information.
- Confidential communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, absence management and employee relations process.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR or payroll systems.
- A professional, approachable and discreet manner.
- Experience using Sage HR or Sage Payroll.
- Experience supporting training, appraisals or policy document.
