Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our nursery premises. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas are hygienic, organised, and meet health and safety standards. This role is vital in supporting the overall wellbeing of children and staff by providing a pristine setting for daily activities. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is highly desirable.
Duties
- Perform regular cleaning of nursery rooms, play areas, toilets, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised and disinfected in accordance with health guidelines
- Restock cleaning supplies and hygiene products as needed to maintain operational readiness
- Dispose of waste safely and efficiently, adhering to environmental protocols
- Maintain organisation of storage areas for cleaning materials and nursery supplies
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent standards of cleanliness are met
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures in childcare environments
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the nursery setting

Pay: £24,420.00-£52,636.72 per year
