Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. As a qualified nursery practitioner we will need candidates with a level 2 or above relevant qualification with a DBS on the update service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, fostering their development in a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to children aged 0-5 years.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring effective communication with parents and guardians.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and support each other in daily tasks.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills by guiding less experienced staff and supporting their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues in English, fostering positive relationships within the nursery community.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with children and their families.
