Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist in the preparation of other menu items as required, supporting overall kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of food and cleaning procedures
- Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of shortages or expiry dates
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
- Knowledge of culinary techniques specific to pizza making is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent organisational skills
- Serving experience or customer service background is beneficial but not essential; a positive attitude towards guest satisfaction is important
