Yard Supervisor
Salary: £34,000 per annum
Hours: 48 contracted hours per week, 6 days per week (Saturday shifts typically finish around lunchtime)

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Yard Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of our yard operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a small team and ensuring all orders are accurately prepared and dispatched on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of 3–4 warehouse operatives, including pickers and loaders.
- Ensure all order tickets are picked accurately and completed within required timescales.
- Monitor workflow to ensure orders are dispatched efficiently and on schedule.
- Carry out and record regular temperature checks in line with company procedures.
- Liaise with drivers regarding deliveries, collections, and operational requirements.
- Process, check, and log orders and delivery notes accurately.
- Take responsibility for checking and maintaining storage areas.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and safety within the yard.
- Support the wider operation and provide leadership to the team on a daily basis.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Yard Supervisor.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Good communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small team.
- Experience working within a warehouse, yard, or distribution environment.
Pay: £34,000.00 per year
