Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Advisor specialising in Garden Machinery to join our team. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing expert mechanical advice, managing service bookings, and ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical knowledge and customer service skills within a vibrant retail environment.
Duties
- Greet customers and handle service enquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
- Book in machinery for servicing, repairs, and warranty work.
- Prepare estimates, quotations, and service documentation.
- Liaise with technicians to schedule and prioritise workshop jobs.
- Keep customers informed on repair progress, costs, and completion times.
- Process job cards, invoices, and warranty claims.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and maintain service histories.
- Support the workshop and parts departments to deliver excellent customer satisfaction.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Administrator, Workshop Controller, or similar customer service role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A proactive and professional approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of horticultural, agricultural, groundcare, garden, or construction machinery.
- Understanding of workshop operations and service processes.
- Experience handling warranty claims and service scheduling.
- Familiarity with manufacturers such as Husqvarna, Toro, Iseki, , Honda, or similar brands.
