We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities, ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and to high quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed
- Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure prompt service to customers
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or contamination within the kitchen environment
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist with various tasks as required
- Previous experience in meal preparation or culinary roles is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is equally valued
