Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Educator to join our early childhood education team. This paid apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to develop management and leadership skills while gaining practical experience working with children in a nurturing environment. The role is ideal for individuals passionate about childcare and eager to build a career in early years education. The successful candidate will support daily nursery activities, assist with child supervision, and learn essential childcare techniques under the guidance of experienced practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of high-quality care and educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs
- Assist senior staff in supervising children during play, meals, and rest periods
- Help organise engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure clear understanding of daily routines and individual needs
- Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards
- Participate in training sessions to develop management, leadership, and childcare skills
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and planning activities
Requirements
- Experience with children or childcare is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for working with young children is key
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to supporting team efforts
- Management skills or interest in developing management capabilities within early childhood settings
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between nursery locations or community activities
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and patience
Apprenticeship eligibility requirements:
· To not already hold a early years qualification at level 3 or above
· To meet course suitability and initial assessment requirements in English and maths
· To have the right to work in the UK and meet apprenticeship funding eligibility criteria
Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
