Mortgage and Protection Adviser
Salary: Up to £40,000 Basic, OTE £70-£90k

Our client is a well-established, multi-award-winning mortgage and financial advice firm with over 20 years’ experience, supporting clients across Surrey and the UK. Founded by an industry-recognised adviser, the business is known for its bespoke, long-term approach to mortgage advice, focusing on securing the most suitable and cost-effective solutions throughout a client’s lifetime. They advise across a wide range of cases including first-time buyers, home movers, remortgages, buy-to-let, later-life lending, complex income and self-employed clients, as well as bridging, commercial and development finance via a specialist arm.
Working with 90+ lenders, the firm manages the full mortgage journey end-to-end, supported by a strong admin team. Salary & Benefits:
- Basic Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): £70k-£90k
- Commission structure up to 25% on monthly bankings. Commission structure can be adjusted to higher percentage for own self-generated business.

Working Hours:
- Standard hours of Monday to Friday, 9am–5:30pm
- Hybrid working of 3 days in the office and two working from home
- No weekend working required, however flexibility is expected to meet client needs
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience as a mortgage adviser ideally in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Driven and highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a proven ability to upsell effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
- Fully CeMAP qualified or equivalent
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Handle new leads by phone and conduct initial fact-finding calls with clients
- Clearly explain options in line with FCA regulations and provide tailored advice
- Research the market to recommend the most suitable products
- Guide clients through the process from recommendation to application, ensuring documents and compliance checks are completed
- Prepare and send suitability letters and submit mortgage applications promptly
- Maintain regular contact with clients to support them throughout the process
