Job Title: Electrical Supervisor (ICP)
Location: Field Based – West Midlands, Bristol & Oxford
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Infrastructure Gateway Ltd is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor (ICP) to join our Construction team in the West. If you have strong LV/HV distribution experience and enjoy leading teams on complex infrastructure projects, this could be the role for you.
As Electrical Supervisor, you’ll take the lead on LV and HV works across distribution networks, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest standard. You’ll supervise field teams, support cable jointing and substation commissioning activities, and work closely with Project Managers, DNOs and ICP partners.
This is a hands-on, field-based role covering West Midlands, Bristol and Oxford, with travel required across the region.
The Role:

Supervising LV/HV cable laying and jointing works on distribution networks

Leading or supporting substation commissioning, including witness testing and pre-energisation checks

Ensuring all works comply with NERS, DNO/ICP standards and industry regulations

Managing subcontractors on-site to ensure quality, safety and programme delivery

Reviewing and approving RAMS, permits and commissioning documentation

Acting as the key point of contact between site teams, project managers and external stakeholders

Monitoring progress, resolving site issues and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget

Championing a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture on every site
What you’ll need:

Proven experience supervising LV–11kV distribution projects

Background as an LV or HV Cable Jointer, with progression into a supervisory role

Experience working within a DNO or NERS-accredited ICP environment

Strong knowledge of DNO procedures, safety rules and working practices

Confident managing subcontractors and multiple workstreams

Excellent communication and organisational skills

A proactive, safety-first mindset
Qualifications (essential)

DNO or ICP authorisations

Competence in LV or 11kV testing (training or documented experience)

5+ years with a DNO authorisation

City & Guilds or equivalent electrical qualifications

HV switching experience or willingness to work towards authorisation
