Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Multi Trade Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of carpentry and building tasks across multiple trades, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity for versatile professionals with experience in diverse aspects of construction and maintenance, contributing to a range of projects from residential to commercial sites.
Duties
- Fabricate, assemble, and install structures using a wide range of hand tools and power tools.
- Perform joinery work, including fitting doors, windows, and cabinetry with precision.
- Carry out roofing tasks, including repairs and new installations, ensuring waterproofing and durability.
- Engage in plumbing activities such as installing pipes, fixtures, and fittings as required.
- Conduct masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing.
- Assist with construction painting to prepare surfaces and apply finishes where needed.
- Undertake heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support various project phases.
- Execute electrical tasks where applicable, including installing wiring or fixtures in compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution across different disciplines.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, plumbing components, masonry materials, and electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of construction painting techniques and safety practices on site.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various stages of construction projects.
- Previous experience working across multiple trades within the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across different tasks.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or related trades are preferred but not essential if accompanied by substantial practical experience.
- A valid UK driving licence is advantageous for site visits or material transportation.
