We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods across various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to all safety regulations. The position involves operating HIAB Crane lorries and delivering goods in a timely manner, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics services.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles, including HIAB Crane, in compliance with all road safety laws and company policies
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with office staff and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during driving and loading activities
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record
- Experience with HIAB Crane lorry operations is essential
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading goods safely
