Job Overview
We are urgently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers and Health Care Assistants to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. Experience in care environments is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidates. Duties
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting individuals with their care plans tailored to their specific needs
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Helping with medication administration as per care plans
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Driving clients to appointments or activities when required
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting home care duties involving transportation
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Good IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if required
