A leading Independent Community Pharmacy in St Albans is seeking a dedicated Qualified Pharmacist to lead their team and ensure the highest standards of Pharmacy care in St Albans.
Must have 3 years experience as there is a trainee Pharmacist on site.
As a Pharmacy Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy in St Albans. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services, while also fostering strong relationships with our customers and healthcare professionals in the community.
Key Duties
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of pharmacists and support staff to provide outstanding customer service and maintain a positive work environment.
- Pharmaceutical Care: Ensure the accurate and safe dispensing of prescription medications, including counseling patients on medication use and potential side effects.
- Compliance: Ensure the pharmacy complies with all legal and regulatory requirements, including those related to the sale and distribution of controlled substances.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock availability while minimizing waste and ensuring medication expiration dates are adhered to.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, healthcare professionals, and local healthcare organizations, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Financial Management: Manage the pharmacy's financial performance, including budgeting, revenue generation, and cost control.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in the UK.
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Manager or similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software.
