The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team at Gatwick Airport, one of our busiest and most exciting locations.
As an Assistant Manager at Venchi, you will help create a slice of Italy for travellers from around the world, serving premium chocolate and gelato with genuine hospitality and care. This is an exciting, fast-paced role with excellent opportunities for career progression.
Working alongside the Store Manager, you will support the day-to-day operation of the store, leading a high-performing team of sales assistants and food and beverage operatives to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining the highest operational standards.
The airport environment offers a unique opportunity to work with an international customer base, requiring adaptability, energy, and a passion for delivering outstanding service in a fast-moving setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store
- Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional customer service
- Driving sales performance and profitability
- Coaching and developing team members
- Ensuring compliance with operational, health & safety, and brand standards
- Managing stock, waste, and store administration
- Creating a positive and engaging working environment
Venchi Assistant Managers and Store Managers work closely together across our UK network, sharing best practices, supporting one another, and contributing to the continued growth of the brand.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week across 5 days, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

- The ability to thrive in a busy airport environment
- Fluency in additional languages would be an advantage but is not essential
Pay & Benefits
Salary: £31,000–£32,000 per year (reviewed annually)
