Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Goalkeeper Coach to join our coaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing specialised training programmes to enhance the skills and performance of goalkeepers across various age groups and skill levels. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to individual development whilst honing coaching expertise within a dynamic team environment.
Duties
- Design and deliver specialised goalkeeper training sessions tailored to individual and team needs
- Analyse performance during training and matches, providing constructive feedback for improvement
- Develop customised training programmes focusing on technique, agility, reflexes, and decision-making skills
- Monitor progress of athletes through regular assessments and adjust coaching methods accordingly
- Foster a positive and motivating environment that encourages skill development and sportsmanship
- Collaborate with other coaching staff to integrate goalkeeper training into overall team strategies
- Maintain equipment and ensure training facilities are safe, organised, and prepared for sessions
- Keep up-to-date with the latest coaching techniques, rules, and regulations related to goalkeeping
Skills
- Proven experience in Football coaching, particularly in goalkeeping.
- Strong coaching abilities with the capacity to communicate complex techniques clearly and effectively
- Excellent organisational skills to plan engaging training programmes and track Goalkeeping progress
