Our beautiful nursery at Greendale is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and families while working as part of a supportive, close-knit team.
About the Role
This is a 16–18 hour per week position, working Wednesdays and Fridays.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will have your own key group of children, supporting their individual learning and development while creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where they can flourish.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a Key Person for your own group of children, building strong partnerships with families.
- Planning and delivering engaging, child-led experiences in line with the EYFS.
- Supporting each child's learning and development through play and meaningful interactions.
- Creating a calm, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued and inspired.
- Promoting children's wellbeing, independence and confidence.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain outstanding standards of care and education.
- Following safeguarding procedures and ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all children.
- Embracing the Nanny Bears ethos of creating a true home-from-home environment.

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification (minimum).
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
- Sound knowledge of child development and the EYFS Framework.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive, caring and enthusiastic approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Ability to use initiative and create engaging, inspiring learning opportunities.
- Enjoys working as part of a close-knit and supportive team.
Desirable
- Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Experience working as a Key Person.
- Experience working with children aged 0–5 years.
