Business is one of those subjects that students naturally connect with.
Whether it's discussing global brands, entrepreneurship, marketing campaigns, or the latest developments in the economy, the subject gives students a chance to apply what they learn in the classroom to the world around them.
We're working with an Outstanding secondary school in Harrow that is looking to appoint a Teacher of Business Studies from September 2026.

About the School
This is a large, oversubscribed 11–18 secondary school with a thriving sixth form and a reputation for getting the best out of both students and staff.
Academic standards are high, but what stands out when you visit the school is the atmosphere. Classrooms are calm and purposeful, students are engaged in their learning, and there is a strong sense of community throughout the site.
The school serves a diverse and ambitious intake, with many students progressing to Russell Group universities, degree apprenticeships, and competitive career pathways. Expectations are high, but students are well supported both academically and pastorally.
One of the first things candidates often notice is how many staff have been at the school for a number of years. That stability has helped create a collaborative culture where teachers genuinely support one another and new staff quickly feel part of the team.
Senior leaders are highly visible around the school and have built a reputation for being approachable, supportive, and focused on creating an environment where teachers can do what they do best.

The department has grown steadily in recent years and enjoys an excellent reputation for delivering strong outcomes while keeping lessons practical, engaging, and relevant to modern business.
Students enjoy discussing real-world case studies, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and current affairs, making lessons both dynamic and rewarding to teach.
You'll be joining a collaborative team that shares resources, supports one another, and works closely together to ensure students achieve their full potential.
The department also plays an active role in careers education, enterprise initiatives, and wider enrichment opportunities that help students connect classroom learning with future pathways.
The Role
You will teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5, delivering engaging lessons that develop commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and confidence.
The school is looking for a teacher who is passionate about their subject, enjoys building positive relationships with students, and wants to contribute to a successful and supportive department.
