Experienced Vehicle Technician Opportunity at Leading South West Used Car Dealership in Avonmouth
Our client, the largest independent used car dealership in the South West region, is currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy Vehicle Preparation Centre in Avonmouth. Duties:
- Diagnose faults in engines, brakes, transmissions, fuel systems, and other key components
- Perform servicing and repairs on all makes and models
- Rebuild engines and refurbish vehicle parts as necessary
- Collaborate with parts team and Pre-Delivery Vehicle Technicians to ensure vehicle readiness
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, identifying hazards and monitoring tools and machinery condition
- Ensure work is completed to a high quality within a busy, professional workshop environment
- Support the continuous flow of vehicles through the preparation process
Requirements:
- Minimum IMI/NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- At least 1-2 years’ practical experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Own set of relevant tools
- UK driving licence with minimal points
- Strong team player with excellent work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure
- Motivated to work towards both individual and team targets
