Year 4 Teaching Assistant – Huyton

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Huyton for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class from September 2026 for the full academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic TA who is passionate about supporting pupils' learning and development within Key Stage 2.
The Role:
- Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 4 classroom
- Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions
- Supporting pupils with literacy and phonics development
- Working with the school's chosen phonics programme, including Read Write Inc.
- Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and pupil progress
- Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Experience supporting phonics interventions, ideally Read Write Inc.
- A proactive and nurturing approach to supporting children
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
The school is looking for someone with strong TA experience who can hit the ground running and become a valued member of the team for the full academic year.
