We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their wellbeing. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives through high-quality care and support. The position is suitable for individuals committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks where necessary
- Support individuals with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Follow individualised care plans to meet specific needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition
- Carry out domestic duties
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Support clients in engaging with social activities and community involvement
- Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed guidelines (if trained)
Requirements
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care support is advantageous
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others wellbeing
- Excellent English both oral and written
- Organised approach to managing tasks efficiently within busy environments
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- A full clean drivers licence
