Little Legs Day Nursery is a small family owned Day Nursery. We are seeking to recruit a Deputy Manager who is enthusiastic, energetic, forward thinking and has a passion to inspire children.
The successful candidate (Subject to an Enhanced DBS check and references) will be part of the management team and be able to take the lead when the Nursery Manager is away. You will help lead a team of up to 6 staff and ensure the highest quality of care and education are delivered. You will be a “hands on” Deputy Manager so you will also be working with the children and will be based in the room. The Nursery has up to 22 children a day with an under 2’s room and an over 2’s room.
Qualifications
Management experience preferred
Minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent childcare qualification
Safeguarding
First Aid
Basic Health and Safety
Enhanced DBS
Experience
A wealth of experience of working with children 6 months to 5 years with a thorough understanding of the EYFS. Have excellent working knowledge of Ofsted requirements. Understanding of childcare funding. Knowledge of the role of SENCO.
Some of the duties /responsibilities
Strong people skills and work as part of team
promote and update policies as required
General management duties within the nursery.
Ensure Health and Safety of premises.
Partnership with parents.
Ensure all requirements for Ofsted and other legislative bodies are met.
Assist with cooking.
