Arborist / Landscape Operative

Talbot Landscapes Ltd is an award-winning, commercial, family-run landscaping contractor based in Derby. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are seeking a qualified and motivated Arborist / Landscape Operative to join our expanding team, delivering projects across the UK.
This role is ideal for an experienced Arborist who is also confident undertaking soft landscaping duties as part of a professional site team.
The Role
You will carry out arboricultural operations alongside soft landscaping works on commercial projects nationwide.
Arboricultural Duties:
- Tree planting and aftercare
- Tree felling and sectional dismantling
- Aerial tree work (where qualified)
- Use and maintenance of chainsaws and associated equipment
- Working in accordance with industry best practice and Health & Safety standards
Landscaping Duties:
- Working from drawings and Supervisor instructions
- Ground preparation and cultivation
- Seeding and turfing
- Shrub, hedge, and tree planting
- Supporting the site team to deliver projects to a high standard
This is a physically demanding role carried out outdoors in all weather conditions. Working away from home will be required when projects demand.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone who:
- Has proven arboriculture experience
- Is confident supporting soft landscaping operations
- Works well within a team environment
- Demonstrates strong safety awareness
- Is punctual, dependable, and professional
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS Card
- Relevant NPTC/LANTRA qualifications (e.g. CS30/31/38/39 or equivalent)
- Experience in commercial tree works
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Desirable:
- Additional arboricultural qualifications
- First Aid +F
- Experience on commercial construction sites
