While most of the market still runs on static questionnaires and spreadsheets, Rankiteo gives underwriters an AI-driven workflow that replaces days of manual analysis with decisions in minutes — score, price, and bind in one place.
We're a small, fast-moving team with a product that underwriters genuinely love once they see it. The bottleneck now isn't the product. It's getting it in front of the right people and running a great demo. That's where you come in.
The Role
We're looking for a sales closer who already lives in the cyber insurance world to own the full sales motion for our Underwriter Platform and Desktop App: from first conversation, to demo, to signed deal.
This is a hands-on, founder-adjacent role. You won't be handed a polished playbook — you'll help build it. If you've sold into underwriting, MGA, broker, or carrier environments before and you want a product that actually delivers, this is a chance to own a market with real commission upside.
What You'll Do
- Own outbound and inbound pipeline for the Rankiteo underwriting tools — cyber underwriters, MGAs, brokers, and carriers.
- Run product demos end to end (we'll get you fluent on the platform fast; recorded demo assets are available to support async selling).
- Manage deals from first touch to close, including pricing conversations and contract follow-through.
- Bring market feedback back to the team — what's resonating, what's blocking deals, what features close them.
- Help shape a repeatable, documented sales playbook as you go.
What We're Looking For
- Native or fully fluent English, comfortable leading live calls and demos with senior insurance buyers.
- An existing network in cyber insurance — underwriters, MGAs, brokers, or carriers you can actually reach. This is the single most important thing.
- A track record closing B2B SaaS or insurtech deals, ideally into underwriting or insurance.
- Comfort with a startup reality: little hand-holding, fast iteration, and ownership of your numbers.
- Genuinely consultative seller — leads with discovery questions, not a monologue.
Nice to Have
- Direct cyber underwriting or cyber risk experience.
- Familiarity with the cyber insurance buying cycle (intake, scoring, pricing, binding, renewal).
- Existing relationships with MGAs or carriers actively expanding their cyber book.
Terms
- Contract / freelance engagement, fully remote.
- Commission-driven compensation with uncapped upside on closed deals; structure and rates to be agreed based on experience and pipeline. Equity / advisor options open to the right candidate.
- Flexible hours — outcomes matter, not seat time.
Pay: £24,912.24-£200,609.70 per year
