About the Role:
- Deliver engaging Humanities lessons to students with SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and SEMH needs
- Teach a broad Humanities curriculum, including subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies
- Adapt lessons to meet individual EHCP targets and learning needs
- Create a structured and inclusive classroom environment with effective behaviour support strategies
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to maximise student engagement and progress
- Help students develop critical thinking, communication skills, and a greater understanding of the world around them
- Support pupils to build confidence, resilience, and independence through meaningful learning experiences
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated Humanities lessons tailored to individual SEN needs
- Implement EHCP strategies to support learning, participation, and progress
- Provide consistent behaviour support to promote positive engagement and emotional regulation
- Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching approaches where required
- Work collaboratively with therapists, pastoral teams, and senior leaders
- Create an inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development

Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, or Religious Studies
- Knowledge of SEN, particularly Autism (ASC), ADHD, and SEMH needs
- Understanding of EHCPs and differentiated teaching strategies
- Ability to work effectively with Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants
- Strong behaviour support skills and commitment to inclusive education
- Passion for helping young people overcome barriers and achieve their full potential
