We at Dark Horse Pubs are looking for an an enthusiastic CDP to join the team at our independently run The Waterman’s Arms on the Isle of Dogs. We have established ourselves as the go to gastro pub of the area serving modern british seasonal dishes alongside some classic favourites.
The Waterman’s Arms is an historic Grade II listed neighbourhood bar with a standout food offering. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with the addition of seven hotel rooms.
Our team is at the heart of how we will hope to deliver our guests a great experience, should they come for a quick drink, breakfast, bar snack or a three course meal. We have a regularly changing food menu and work with a range of excellent UK suppliers. This is a great opportunity for an chef looking to take the next step of their career whilst having support from the experience management team.
We Are Looking For Someone Who is:
- Experienced as a Chef De Partie or Commis at a restaurant or food led pub.
- Able to work independently.
- Reliable, punctual and organised.
- Be able and willing to comply with in house food safety and diligence.
- Food and hospitality driven.
- Happy to learn and take direction from management team.
- Interested in food provenance and seasonality; there is scope within the role have an input into ever changing specials and menu development.
The most important requirements, however, are having a positive, can-do attitude along with a real passion for the hospitality industry!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's standards.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are strictly followed in the kitchen.
- Assist in menu planning and food production, maintaining consistency and presentation.
- Manage kitchen inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
