Role Overview: We are seeking a customer-focused and organized Internal Sales professional to be the first point of contact for our customers. This role is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing phone calls, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting the sales process through proactive communication and follow-up. The Internal Sales team member will develop a strong understanding of our diverse valve product range (prior experience is not required, as full training is provided) and play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient sales operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Make outgoing calls to follow up on quotations and customer enquiries.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service to all customers.
- Develop and stay up-to-date with a good understanding of our product range and their applications.
- Prepare and send quotations as requested.
- Process Customer and Supplier orders.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding quotes to maximize conversion rates.
- Record and update customer interactions and sales activities in the internal CRM system.
- Address customer queries and resolve issues efficiently to build rapport and maintain positive relationships.
- Collaborate closely with the technical, external sales, and purchasing teams to coordinate accurate information, pricing, and timely deliveries.
Requirements:
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to learn technical product information quickly.
- Positive attitude, "can-do" mindset, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Competent in IT systems, specifically Microsoft 365 packages (Excel, Word).
Preferred but not essential:
- Previous experience working in a sales or customer service environment.
