Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively hospitality environment, providing excellent service to our patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. All roles are paid positions, offering valuable experience within the hospitality industry.
Duties
- Serve drinks and food to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Ensure all beverages are prepared according to standard recipes and food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including organising stock and glassware
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any queries or concerns promptly
- Assist with setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and customers
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred
- Strong organisational skills and time management abilities
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- A responsible attitude towards alcohol service and customer care
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
