About the Opportunity
Our client has built a strong reputation for delivering dependable, safety-first plant hire and haulage solutions to some of the UK’s most significant construction and civil engineering projects. As an In-Plant Hire Controller, you will be embedded within a key customer environment, acting as a central stakeholder on behalf of our client. You’ll ensure seamless service delivery, drive commercial performance, and champion a unified “One Team” ethos between all parties.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will take ownership of the on-site hire function, ensuring operational efficiency, commercial growth, and exceptional customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships within the client hire desk
- Driving year-on-year account spend growth of at least 15%
- Supporting and leading on Joint Venture tender submissions
- Responding to all enquiries within 15 minutes in line with framework KPIs
- Closing out customer queries and disputes within 24 hours
- Producing accurate monthly spend reports
- Identifying and sharing new sales opportunities with the Sales & Marketing Director
- Promoting new product innovations aligned to the company’s four strategic pillars
- Attending quarterly Sales meetings and providing performance updates
- Encouraging and championing a collaborative One Team culture
