Summary
Ellel St. Johns Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and energetic teaching assistant for a Key Stage 1 or 2 class. We are looking for someone to come and join our close-knit and dynamic team and help us to live out our vision of nurturing and developing the whole child. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. Ellel is a happy and welcoming Church school where all members of our community love, live and learn in the light of Christ. We are looking for a teaching assistant who:
- is passionate about working with children and making a difference to their lives
- fully supports the Christian ethos of the school
- is a strong classroom practitioner and open to continued professional development
- is committed to promoting positive attitudes to learning and behaviour
- builds positive relationships with children, parents, staff and the community
- who works well within a team
- can use English, maths and computing skills effectively
- recognises the strengths and challenges of each child and is able to work with the class teacher and address next steps for learning
- is willing and able to cover the class if necessary under the direction of the class teacher
- would be willing to accompany a class on their residential visit if necessary

This position is part time for 30 hours a week, term time only. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
