Job Summary
We at Briery Park Care Home are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance and guidance to individuals in need. The role involves working closely with disabled and vulnerable adults, offering mentorship, support, and encouragement to promote their personal development and well-being. Responsibilities
- Offer personalised support to children or vulnerable adults, encouraging their independence and confidence
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and social interaction
- Engage in mentoring activities to promote positive behaviour and emotional resilience
- Support learning through teaching basic skills or organising educational activities
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure consistent care
- Monitor progress and report any concerns regarding wellbeing or safety
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and any incidents or observations
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes respect and dignity for all individuals
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential; as full training will be provided
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ development
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Organised with good time management skills
- Relevant qualifications in health & social care or teaching are advantageous but not mandatory

24/7 Digital Rota in place with shifts displayed up to 6 month‘s in advance.
No experience required as full training will be provided.

As a care home operating 7 day’s a week 24 hours a day, rolling rota for working every fortnight on Saturday and Sunday will be required.
Full time Shift patterns. 8am-8pm, 8pm-8am.
Part time shifts available daily.
8am-2pm, 2pm-8pm.
4pm-10pm, weekends only available.
Rolling Rota and option to pick available shifts on Rota App.
Digital holiday request and approval and sickness reporting app.
