We’re now looking for a Head of Finance to join our leadership team and play a key role in supporting the next stage of our growth.

As Head of Finance, you’ll provide strategic financial oversight across the organisation, helping guide decision making, manage risk and ensure Skills4Group continues to grow responsibly and successfully.
You’ll work closely with the Managing Director, Leadership Team and Board, acting as a trusted advisor and helping shape the future direction of the business.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the financial strategy and supporting long-term organisational growth
- Producing accurate management accounts, forecasts and financial reports
- Overseeing budgeting, reforecasting and departmental financial control
- Managing month-end close processes, reconciliations and balance sheet integrity
- Overseeing payroll, cashflow management and core finance operations
- Managing relationships with auditors, accountants and external financial partners
- Supporting audit readiness, compliance and financial governance
- Providing financial modelling, scenario planning and commercial insight
- Leading and developing the finance team
- Supporting senior leaders with strategic and operational decision making
What we’re looking for
Essential:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience operating as a Head of Finance or senior financial leader
- Strong experience of ESFA funding, financial compliance and audit within a regulated environment
- Experience leading organisational budgeting, forecasting and financial control
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical thinking skills
