The Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the kitchen operation and helping to deliver high-quality food to our guests. You will assist with food preparation, maintain excellent cleanliness standards, and ensure the kitchen is fully stocked and ready for service.
You will work closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure every guest receives the quality and consistency they expect from Papas.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing ingredients and food items in line with company specifications
- Assisting with the cooking and assembly of menu items
- Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Washing up and ensuring kitchen equipment is clean and ready for use
- Keeping food preparation and storage areas clean and organised
- Receiving and storing deliveries correctly
- Following all company recipes, procedures, and allergen controls
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Helping to minimise waste and maintain stock rotation procedures
- Contributing to a positive and productive team environment
