Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Gedling Village is seeking dedicated, compassionate Care Workers to join our friendly team supporting elderly residents, including those with nursing and complex care needs.
About the Role:
As a Care Worker, you will provide person-centred care and support to our residents, helping them maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life. Working alongside experienced nurses and care staff, you’ll assist with daily living activities, personal care, meals, mobility, and meaningful social engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine interest in caring for older people
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Empathy, patience, and respect for residents’ choices and dignity
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings
- Previous experience in care is desirable but not essential – full training provided
- A willingness to undertake training (including medication, moving & handling, safeguarding)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- Assisting with meals and hydration
- Helping residents move safely around the home
- Engaging residents in social activities and conversation
- Maintaining accurate care records
- Working collaboratively with nurses, families, and other professionals
- Promoting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
