Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment across our facilities. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and diagnostic software.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with production teams to coordinate repairs with minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints effectively.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and modern repair techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or related fields are desirable.
