We require an experienced part-time hair salon assistant for our busy and ethnically diverse African Caribbean hair salon.
The role involves:
- Flexible working hours (2 plus days a week)
- Gowning and preparing clients
- Shampooing clients hair
- Preparing clients for conditioning treatments
- Applying colour and toners(training given)
- Making client bookings
- Taking client payments
- Taking product deliveries
- Keeping all areas of the salon tidy.
- Preparing drinks for clients/taking coats etc.
- Assisting in the management of stock levels and ordering.
You will:
- Ideally have previous salon experience, though not essential
- Be confident and proactive
- Have a record of reliability
- Ideally have an interest in training and pursuing a career in this field
- Be enthusiastic and self motivated
- Possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Be well presented
- Speak English to a very good standard.
