We are seeking a motivated and highly organised Senior Pharmacy Technician – Clinical Trials, to support the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs) across Hywel Dda University Health Board.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating pharmacy input to clinical trials, including study set‑up, ongoing trial delivery, aseptic preparation activities, and study close‑down, ensuring full compliance with GMP, GCP, GDP and regulatory requirements.
This role requires a confident, detail‑focused professional, with strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a complex and fast‑paced environment. You will act as a key liaison between Pharmacy, Research & Development, clinical teams and external trial sponsors, while also contributing to staff training, service improvement, quality assurance and governance activities.
- A proactive approach; commitment to high standards of patient safety, and enthusiasm for developing clinical trials and aseptic services, would align for success in this role.
Coordinate and deliver pharmacy support for Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs), including study set‑up, ongoing trial delivery, monitoring visits and study close‑down.
- Oversee the safe management of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs), including receipt, storage, dispensing, accountability, returns and destruction, in line with GCP, GMP and regulatory requirements
- Support and coordinate aseptic preparation and outsourcing activities, ensuring timely, high‑quality and compliant preparation of trial and non-trial medicines
- Act as a key point of contact between Pharmacy, Research & Development, clinical teams and external trial sponsors, providing clear and timely communication
- Contribute to quality assurance, service improvement and staff training, including SOP development, audits, performance monitoring and maintenance of the Pharmaceutical Quality System
